The Ames Grand Prix will feature the Main Street Criterium on Saturday, June 10th, followed by a 2.6 mile ISU Research Park Circuit Race on Sunday, June 11th. Ames Velo is excited to introduce this annual event and to showcase all that the city of Ames has to offer. We have designed this weekend of racing to make it an enjoyable experience for racers and their families.

Main Street Criterium:This .7 mile flat course is fun and fast. Excellent quality roads and the Saturday Main Street Cultural District vibe will make this a memorable afternoon and evening. All shops, restaurants and bars will be open during the race, so it's a perfect chance to bring family and friends to the races.

Research Park Circuit RaceThis 2.6 mile technical circuit will make for some dynamic racing. With many vantage points, it also makes for a great race to spectate. Hot lap primes will be offered to help spice things up. The south end of the course features some of the beautiful new architecture recently completed.
